I founded Yilmaz Radijs in 2001 and over time the company has expanded to reach some 20 hectares, spread over different sites in the Westland region. By keeping total control, we can supply high quality radishes all year round; we sow and harvest six days a week, 52 weeks a year. That necessitates not only a lot of land, but equally a lot of experience and a tight planning schedule. During a year-round cycle, radish crops can be grown eight or nine times.
Lovely green leaves, and round, bright globes are the signs of the tastiest and best radishes. You can be sure of enjoying the radish flavour to the full. Radishes are an important part of our diet, as they are a healthy, natural vegetable. Despites their diminutive size, they are brimming with important vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, folic acids, calcium, potassium, zinc and iron.
